Employee Reinstatement
Dear Kelvyn Park Parents and Families,
Our top priority is ensuring that we are continuing to support our families and ensure the safety of our school community, particularly during challenging times like now. However, we always want to keep you updated on important matters as soon as information becomes available, which is why we are writing to you today.
In December 2019, I informed the Kelvyn Park school community that CPS was investigating an allegation that one of our staff members engaged inappropriately with students. We take all allegations very seriously, and the district took the immediate step to remove the staff member and initiate an investigation. Based on the information learned during the Office of Inspector General’s investigation, a determination was made that it is appropriate for our staff member to return to Kelvyn Park when school returns to session.
Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of your children. Investigations are necessary to ensure that your child’s safety is being appropriately safeguarded. I know this may have been a disruption to our school community, and I thank you for your commitment to the well-being of Kelvyn Park during this time.
I am confident that Kelvyn Park will continue to grow and be a strong school community where students’ best interests are the central focus each and every day.

Nuestra máxima prioridad es seguir apoyando a nuestras familias y garantizando la seguridad de todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad escolar, particularmente durante este momento difícil.
