Dia De Los Muertos Event in Room 199 November 11th

On November 11th Ms. Henao will be hosting a Dia de Los Muertos event in room 199.

We are excited to bring Día de los Muertos into our classrooms and celebrate the vibrant culture within our school! I’ve created a slideshow with resources to help introduce and celebrate this tradition with your students.

Dia De Los Muertos KPHS SY25 Presentation – Google Slides

These slides are designed to introduce, engage, and educate students on the meaning and practices of Día de los Muertos.

Here’s a breakdown of the slides and suggestions for sharing:

  • Slides 1-5: These slides provide introductory information about Día de los Muertos. Please share these with students as an overview of what the celebration is about.
  • Slides 6-11: These slides go deeper, with information that can be shared each day to further engage students in understanding Día de los Muertos.
  • Slides 12-20: These slides offer brief explanations of how each day is celebrated. Consider starting class each day by sharing one or two of these slides (some days may need to be combined due to weekends).
  • Slides 21 and onward: These slides describe the daily events we’ll be holding, all leading up to our main celebration on November 1st.
