All Grades Continuing Remote Learning | Aprendizaje remoto continuo para todos los grados

Dear KPH Parents and Students,

On November 17th, CPS Officials announced that cluster programs, Pre-K, and Kindergarten through 8th grades would return to in-person learning early in 2021. Originally, this meant that our 7th and 8th grade students, teachers, and staff would have also returned. However, the school just received confirmation that all of Kelvyn Park (7th through 12th grades) will be treated as if it were a high school when it comes to returning to in-person learning.

This means that our students, 7th through 12th grades, will continue Remote Learning for the foreseeable future. None of Kelvyn Park’s students will return to in-person learning when elementary schools, cluster programs, and pre-K programs do in early 2021.

For some, I know this is disappointing. But the logistics of having 7th and 8th graders integrated into a high school make things a bit more complicated, and we cannot have any uncertainties if and when we return to in-person instruction to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff. At the very least, we can mentally prepare for more Remote Learning, reflect on how we are supporting our children at home, and advocate for your child to ensure their learning needs are met. Estimados padres y estudiantes de KPH,

El 17 de noviembre, los funcionarios de CPS anunciaron que los programas de grupo, prekínder y jardín de infantes a octavo grado volverían al aprendizaje en persona a principios de 2021. Originalmente, esto significaba que nuestros estudiantes, maestros y personal de séptimo y octavo grado también habrían regresó.
